Summer Journey Session 2025

This Summer, Something Special Happened!

At the end of our 5-week Summer Journey Session, we asked the men and women who participated to reflect on how God moved in their lives during this intentional time in His Word. From daily readings to weekly conversations, the stories that poured in were powerful reminders that when we abide in Christ, He shows up and transforms us from the inside out. Here are some of their incredible responses!

“In just a few weeks, I’ve learned what it means to truly follow Christ.”
Through the daily readings, I was reminded of how we’re called to treat one another—with love, honor, and respect. I gained a renewed vision for my role as a Christian man, husband, and athlete. The weekly group discussions provided space to reflect, wrestle with truth, and grow alongside others on the same journey.

“Consistency is key to personal growth and navigating life’s challenges.”
The daily readings and weekly gatherings laid a strong foundation of steady habits that carried me through uncertain times. Walking alongside brothers in Christ pushed me to stay committed and inspired me to draw closer to God. I’ve been challenged and encouraged to grow as a man, a husband, a father, and a follower of Christ.

“God’s Word anchored me in a season of transition.”
There were moments when life felt overwhelming—but God met me in His Word. One verse in particular, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts…” (Colossians 3:15), reminded me to choose peace over panic. Daily time in Scripture became more than routine—it became a lifeline.

“I reconnected with God through Scripture.”
One of the biggest takeaways for me was returning to daily Bible reading and quiet time. Paul’s letters spoke directly to my heart—his messages of grace, perseverance, and unwavering faith reminded me that I don’t have to strive in my own strength. Even in solitude, God can use me—just as He used Paul in prison.

“I love the structured approach to reading—it’s such a simple yet powerful way to build a habit.”
Having a daily plan made it easier to stay consistent and created a sense of accountability, knowing others were walking the same path. It was encouraging to hear how the same passages impacted different men in unique ways, offering fresh insight and perspective each day.

“These five weeks gave me a community of women I didn’t know I needed.”
The fellowship, prayer, and shared learning with this group deeply encouraged me. At first, the discipline of daily time in the Word felt difficult—but now it’s something I look forward to. God has been softening my heart and drawing me closer, reminding me of James 4:8: “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” This journey helped me do just that—intentionally seeking Him, and experiencing His nearness in return.

“This season with young kids made it hard to find time—but God met me in community.”
I wanted to share how this past month and a half has impacted me. As a mom of two young kids, it’s been hard to find time alone with the Lord. I usually try to wake up before they do so I can talk to God in the quiet—but even that’s not always possible. Having the group meet in the middle of the day with other women in similar life stages has been so encouraging. Listening to their stories, seeing how God is moving in their lives—it helped me feel closer to Him.
