So fired up to kick this off! I was really focused on praying for believers in the hockey community to live their lives deliberately for the Lord and Bold in their actions and words so they represent Christ clearly to non believers. A revival in the sports community and on your team's/organizations start with you be bold and and proud to have a relationship with an almighty God! I prayed for everyone on this day as well to pray with faith and clarity!
Im fired up too Quinn! Let's go!! As I prayed tonight, I was really moved by two words: COMMUNITY and MOVEMENT. I believe God is raising up a community that is strong, courageous, and united in Christ, and that is becoming a movement of Competitors for Christ that will impact eternity. I cannot wait to see what God is going to do in the coming days. God is absolutely moving. And when He moves lives get transformed!! “It is not by power, nor by might, but by My Spirit, declares the Lord.” (Zech. 4:6).
God is certainly using every single person Praying today. Absolutely amazing how this can and does inspire so very many to strengthen our Faith through Unity.
n Dear Heavenly Father,
nI ask that you lift up each and everyone Praying today that they show your light to those who need it and to embrace and hold each and everyone involved with this amazing Prayer Day.
nIn Jesus Precious Name, Amen
Waking up at 1:55 AM wasn’t so hard. Being able to focus my mind at 2 AM was another thing! But God’s word is sharp, as Hebrews 4 reminds us, and once we got started the Lord and I had a great early morning in prayer!
nI especially focused on the unsaved people all around who need to hear the gospel.
nAnd I have praise for the way the Lord used the whole PE staff to put together this Prayer Guide. It took many hours and many minds working together to create, and it is a great tool!
It was an honor to get to pray for the sports community today!
nI really felt driven to pray for courage and boldness for the leaders in this community and protection from the enemy.
nGod is doing great things!
My heart has been on the unbelievers who have been rejecting God for too long now, as well as kids! I believe our country is about to break out in mass revival and millions of people will be coming into the Kingdom. We’re already seeing it on college campuses around the US but even greater, I believe we will see the huffiest harvest of souls ever in the next 5-10years. Praise God for being slow to anger and always giving his kids a chance to receive his grace. People are tired of being luke warm and are stepping up to be the bold warriors God created them to be.
I found it easy to get up and spend time with my heavenly Dad this morning, even among the distractions of my wife getting up and preparing to go and teach school. Standing on God’s promises makes it comforting and easy to talk to my Dad. I prayed for all the Soccer chaplains that we would stand together to fight the evil one who tries so hard to infiltrate the hearts and minds of the young men and women that we have been called to minister to. I thank my God daily that He has allowed me to continue to share Jesus each time we meet . Two weeks ago I was at the facility to conduct our weekly Bible study and I got sick and had to leave. So I gave my notes to one of the youngest players and asked him to do his best. I called when I got home to see how it went and they were going through my notes then. He put me on speaker and they prayed for me. I cried for the next half hour thanking God for moving in the lives of these young men. Nothing I did but the Holy Spirit was working. My prayer is that all of us would seek Him daily and be open to His leading. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this work. God bless each of you as you spend time with Him today and forever. Amen
It was an honor to join the PE community this morning to intercede and believe big things for the track and field coaches and athletes specifically. Seeking the Lord to increase and empower administrators, coaches and athletes to see the mission field that he has placed in their midst.
nBoldness and confidence grounded in Christ- and favor to lead them to their Source.
nI will continue to pray and intercede for this often self focused community to be permeated by a move of the Spirit!
As i was praying last night, i felt like the Holy Spirit said that sports has been an Idol for many people and not a game. But those walls are coming down in the sports arena and many will turn to Jesus as their Idol and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. The walls are coming down for athletes and there is a revival for them to Idol the One and Only True God, Jesus Christ!!!!! Letssss goooo Jesus!!!!!!!
Jett, Jase, and I just finished praying in our 6:00-6:30 spot. What a great morning praying with my boys. Thank you for leading the charge with this. Excited to see all the people praying today. Let’s go!!
What a great way too start my day - I felt most of my time was pulled towards praying over leadership and to strengthen those who already know Him to continue the good fight with courage and boldness. To protect them from anything that causes them to doubt, fear, stumble. To set a renewed passion in their heart to share their faith and their love of Jesus. To bless them and give them what they need (spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally. I sensed God saying “I see them and their hearts for me and I will do all this and so much more than you can imagine!” Thank you Jesus for all you will do and continue to do!
“What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!”
nMay revival come to our world of sports! May revival come to our hearts! May we see and hear of God’s good work in and among our nation! May we start conversations with those we meet about the work God is doing! May the Lord remind us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking in the name of Jesus!
Delighted to join in this effort to pray for the sports community. I am fasting in addition to praying. I began four years ago a one day a week fast of food until 4pm. The breakthrough I have seen in my family and in prayer has been MONUMENTAL. The Lord has revealed so many things to me as a result; breakthrough has come in areas I hadn’t seen results to in years of prayer. The Lord reveals spiritual truths when we walk in obedience to fast. The Bible says “WHEN” you fast, not “IF” you fast. If I hadn’t personally experienced it, I would not know the depth of this need. So my encouragement to you is to begin FASTING along with prayer. Start small if you have to, but do it. The Word calls us to fast. No one likes to go without food, but the results are worth it. It is a “natural” action that produces SPIRITUAL results.
n
nMy prayer time was for baseball teams, players and coaches from little league to the BiGs, travel ball teams and colleges- though I touched on every sports. May the Lord complete the work He has begun and draw athletes across America and the world to Himself!
God hear these many voices today as a Spiritual movement is made today pushed by competitors for Christ! I’m so grateful to be a part of Prayer day. I’m not sure I’ve ever prayed for 30 minutes straight but the peace and clarity I’m left with afterwards is incredible. It felt so good to pray so thoroughly, giving praise, confession, thanksgiving and for the church and the lost. I’m grateful for the opportunity to pray so deeply for organization and for the sports world. Thank you Lord for this amazing opportunity!
I felt led to pray for all those that are feeling change is coming for them, whether through their choice or someone else. I pray that they feel the comfort of Jesus as they walk into the next chapter that life has for them!
What a blessing, to be able to join with so many people to lift up the Lord to praise him and then lift up my brother’s in Christ in the Journey Group locally to be able to specifically pray for them to lift each of them up for the Lord to be an encouragement to them. And to so many in the leadership in the pure encouragement ministry that touches the lives of so many people pointing them to the Lord, the salvations, the hearts changed the life’s changed, which ultimately will lead to so many other lives being changed. How awesome is that? We serve a mighty God.
What a joy to be a part of such a wonderful opportunity and fellow believers!!

n“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
n2 Chronicles 7:14
n
n“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.”
nPsalms 19:7
n
nI love how prayer and worship produces such a desire in us to tell others about Christ!!
Prayer for a rising of coaches and leaders with a heart on fire and passion for the Lord whose hearts burn for Him. For a revival to break out in the athletic community. That the win would not be about the game, but that we would persuade others with our faith, by how we live, behave, walk, act, speak, talk, live in truth, love, and deed. 2 Corinthians 5:11-14
n
This was so nice to get time to focus on my relationship with the lord in this crazy world!
n
nTrying to balance my relationship God in the military has been hard to say the least. I have been challenged everyday to live for him and not let my emotions get the best of me. I have felt distant from God ever since I joined the marines and it’s very refreshing to know how to talk with him and trust in him!
n
nThank you for the opportunity and guidance I needed to start where I left off and reinsurance that my relationship and walk with him isn’t over!
nAlso thank you Gary! FIRE ME UP
So uplifted and inspired coming off the prayer call today. Amazing to see Christian’s in all different areas of sports.
n
nLord I thank u for the privilege to pray and I look forward to seeing what the lord will do.
My goal is to be a light in this dark world and spread the message!
As I'm saying my prayers for the Florida rugby community, I find myself realizing that I can be a better Christian when there are times of struggle, stress, or even high moments. I prayed for God to enable us Believers with the wisdom and right words/actions to encourage those who are lost to begin their connection with Jesus and for us to showcase God's love and God's strength when confronted with evils on and off the field. If a team loses, we shouldn't question His plans or think that God owes us anything because we wouldn't even been able to play our sports that we love without God allowing it. For the teams that win, we must remember to give praise to God for allowing it to happen. It's not a game of chance, it was God's plan from the beginning and all glory should be given to him. We can be happy about the outcome, but we must stay humble and not let pride consume us. Lastly, for the family members who sacrifice their time and efforts for us athletes to play our sports, we must show them love and give thanks to God for allowing them into our lives or us into their lives ❤️
As I prayed for the world of athletics my heart was pulled to impact.
nSo go the athletes song the schools, as a dad of 4 with the still heavily involved in school and competitive sports l, the impact for the Kingdom is laid out in front of them.
nI prayed that God would give the thousands and thousands of athletes the conviction to proclaim Him and the He would draw others to Him through them.

I am so honored to be a part of such a great opportunity. I see the Lord talking through so many great people and it makes me feel so happy. I focused on praying for Hockey and the overall community. I prayed for the ability to speak the gospel and spread the love of Jesus Christ. I hope my prayer reaches to the non-believers in. Christ shows himself within them. I hope that my prayer reaches everyone and encourages people to have a relationship with Christ. I’m so happy that the Lord was able to speak through everyone here. I give thanks to everyone who gave me the opportunity to participate today and so happy the lord was able to find me through Gary!
n
It’s always such an honor to join with the Pure encouragement community and pray!! I was privileged to pray over the hockey community, as well as the journey groups. I’m praying that God does something special in both of those groups. Thank you to Gary and the PE team for organizing this!
Praying for strongholds to be broken, for believers to understand the spiritual battle they are in and to stand strong, be bold, be courageous for Christ.
“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.”
nJohn 15:16 NASB1995
n
nSomething I read this morning referencing the above verse that made this day of prayer shine;
n“As a chosen one of God, I was saved to pray; and whenever I come into God’s presence to behold Him, worship Him, or make requests of Him, I am arriving at the pinnacle of God’s saving purposes for me.”
nGreat thought.

Let’s GO! What a powerful day of prayer for athletes all over the world. I personally have a passion to pray for the hockey world to come to Jesus! God is moving in the hockey world, and I’m excited to watch hockey players get set free and receive God‘s greatest gift of salvation! Thank you Pure Encouragement for putting this prayer bombing together! We will see lives changed through Jesus!
Thankful for the opportunity to pray with other Believers today focusing on the sports community. Move Holy Spirit and send your fire to awaken our sports communities across the world.
Super grateful for this opportunity to pray amongst all of you today! I am also extremely grateful that I was able to spend 30-45 minutes praying with my brother in Christ, Corey Owens! Our goal is to continue the culture we have created in our locker room and transform all those who we interact with. We pray for the strength and wisdom to tackle challenges that will come next year and ultimately use them to be stewards of His name!
I prayed Ps 119…..directing the mssg to all youth and adult athletes. That those in Christ would develop the confidence to not only to learn how to love themselves but also give themselves completely over to allowing others around them see themselves not perfect yet loving and supporting those around them in authentic ways. Ways perhaps they are not expecting. Ways guided by the H. S. Great idea Gary to do this.
Thankful the opportunity and some breakthrough conversations that happened today with athletes and for the God is doing in my own heart and life today. I have more hope than I have had in a while. Thank you for praying !!!
Look at the moon tonight remember you’re talking to the God who created that, created you, and is all powerful. He always hears your prayers and he is always with us. More than conquerors and adopted children through Christ, Lets Go! Praise God, Amen!
I was praying on behalf of European Pro Hockey Players and really felt the Lord telling me about a revival that is happening across the hockey world. I focused on praying for strength and opportunity for our ‘hockey missionairies’ on their various teams and in their communities. Being connected with a christian community is important when living in a foreign country and I prayed for people to step into their lives to keep them focused on their mission.
Can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday! Thank you Lord!
Thank you Gary for making this happen!
n
nGo God! What an amazing time for the hockey community!
n
nPraying over the sigmas that surround goaltending! Although said in jest, goalies are not crazy but rather brave for standing in as the back stop. Praying for Goalies to rise up as silent leaders of their teams and communities!
n
nPraying there would be an outpouring of peace in goalies. That the pressures of the game are enjoyable and not mentally taxing.
n
nBelieving that USA hockey would reverse the usage of small nets to standard size so that goalies and families are equipped with realistic expectations of what the position demands.
n
nThank you God for an abundance of connections and mentors in the goalie community!
n
nIn Jesus name!
“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.””
nPsalms 122:1 NASB1995
n
nMy house shall be called a house of prayer.
n
nGreat day of prayer today.
What a powerful half hour. Spending time in slience with the Lord brought calmness over me. Being able to be vulnerable and honest with Lord started with praising Him for all the sacrifice He’s made for us. Praising the grace I’ve witnessed in my life, and those around me, and in all the ways He leaves His mark on our world. I prayed for family, and friends, the people I’ve met, and those that I haven’t, that need God in their lives. I thanked Him for how much positive influence all the ministries and missionaries around the world have. I ended our session having an honest conversation about everything that was flying through my mind, asking for wisdom, guidance, and His influence over all aspects of my life. The half hour seemed like only a few mins. What wonderful Father we have!
What was really pressing on my heart for the sports community was the words BOLDNESS and ALL IN. I am praying that God would raise up BOLDNESS and an ALL IN faith in every single Competitor for Christ. That every single Christian in the sports world would be so bold and all in that it is evident to those around them that there is something different about them and that is Christ living inside of them. I believe God is going to raise up Christians in the sports world and he is going to move in mighty ways. God wherever we are help us to be BOLD and ALL IN this year for you!
What an incredible day! Thank you to everyone who prayed today! I got the privilege to close out the night crying out to God His promise in Luke 11:13 "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" I asked God to fill every one of you (by name) who signed up to pray with the Holy Spirit. "It's not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit" declares the Lord" (Zech. 4:6). "The sons of God are those who are led by the Holy Spirit" (Rom. 8:14). Pour out a fresh Wind O God upon us as Your people! May thousands come to faith in Jesus in this sports world, and in our communities, in our families, in our ministries in 2025. May the church of Jesus be strong, courageous, unified, and full of love and truth. May a movement of Competitors for Christ multiply and strengthen. We can't wait to see what You are going to do Lord!!
It was great to connect and pray with other believers within the sports industry coming from all different sectors.
nIt was powerful to come in one to pray for the world of sport, which for many is their God.
nI’m very expectant of what God has in store, in the world of sport!
What a joy to pray for PE and its ministry. Great job putting the prayer guide together! It sure helped.
God is working through Pure Encouragement to pursue the sports world. Thankful to support this cause, gather vision and unify to lift up the name and image of Jesus Christ with these faithful servants!
It is amazing to see brothers and sisters in Christ fired up for their sports but more important wanting to make an impact for HIS Kingdom and willing to serve and make an impact in their respective sports . The love and compassion that is evident to serve the King and having a heart for the lost. Let’s barnstorm the throne for souls!!!
